During my PhD program, I struggled with logical flow in my writing. Part of my program requires a written exam that asks me to articulate my thoughts in a logical, concise, and cohesive manner. I initially connected with Kelly when she taught at the Thompson Writing Program at Duke as a supervisor in the Writing Center.  I found her feedback so valuable that I reached out to her for additional assistance for both my medical school and residency application personal statements several years later. I was looking for more specific/personalized guidance and feedback than what I had received from my pre-med advisors.
